Small Ceiling Fan Lights

Ceiling fans and low ceilings?

My husband and I are trying to do small renovations in our first house we bought in Williamsburg, VA. We have noticed that the first floor ceiling is low, which is emphasized by an odd patterned stucco or popcorn material. There is a nice looking fan (not cheap) in our living area, and since we are looking to sell in 3 years, we are wondering if it would be more beneficial to keep the fan even though it accentuates the low ceilings, or get rid of it and install a simpler light fixture?

We have low cielings in are house with cieling fans i dont think it looks bad but you could also go with just the light and it would look better probably but the cieling fan doesnt look all that bad
