Outdoor misting system - do they work & are they worth it?
Looking at possibly adding an outdoor misting system around my back porch (leads to a concrete patio). The three options I have found are 1) rubber hose type, 2) metal/copper type and 3) a large fan that attachs to a hose. I am not sure if these actually help the heat or if they are worth purchasing. The plastic/rubber type seem cheap and look like they may not last. Wondering how much pressure you acutally get with them since you just use your water hose - want mist, not trickling stream of water. Anyone have any experience with these?
I live in East Texas if that helps.
DisneyWorld has misters in some of the long attraction lines, copper tubing run to metal industrial-type fans. People were dying waiting for the line to move them in the path. Amazing how well they work!
