How Do Laser Light Shows Work?

Have you ever wondered how a laser shows work? How about what causes a laser to be so much brighter and vibrant than regular lighting? These concepts can be difficult to fully grasp as they involve both mathematics and physics in their explanations. Here I will attempt to simplify the mechanics of the laser into layman’s terms so that you may have a better understanding of just what’s going on inside a laser device. If you’d like a more complete explanation or have any other inquiries about laser lighting be sure to contact the professionals at London Lighting Hire.

The first thing you need is a light source. The type of light you use will depend on the desired colour and brightness of the light. The type of colour produced is dependent on the wavelength of light. Each colour of the rainbow coincides with a certain wavelength and all the wavelengths as a whole form what we know as the visible light spectrum. Longer wavelengths coincide with the red and orange side of the spectrum, while shorter wavelengths coincide with the blue and violet portion. Brightness, as you may know from conventional light bulbs is measured in watts. A watt is actually a measure of the rate of energy conversion, so the more watts you have the brighter the light will be. It’s important to note that lasers actually produce the most watts out of any other device known to man, with a few of them able to produce a petawatt which is equal to a quadrillion watts, but only for a fraction of a second. Of course this is just a simple explanation of the light source used in lasers; London Lighting Hire would be happy to elaborate if need be.

The next aspect of a laser is the projector. This component is made up of tiny moving mirrors that can direct the light into a single concentrated beam or split it into numerous beams to produce cones, fans, and tunnels. The mirrors can also be used to produce outlines of images that can depict a story or often a company logo or trademark. If you’re looking to have a custom show made using any of the above effects, than London Lighting Hirewill work alongside you to make whatever it is that you envision, a reality.

The final but possibly most important part of a laser show is how the laser is used. There are endless possibilities in this department, from just a single coloured laser all the way up to hundreds of lasers and graphics set to music. London Lighting Hire has been in the business for over 32 years so they can offer plenty of guidance for all of your laser needs. Not only do they offer lasers but they have scanners, effects lighting, outdoor and architectural lighting, LED lighting and smoke and special effects. London Lighting Hire is your one stop shop for all of your professional lighting needs.

summer wedding color?

I'm getting married on July 7, 2007. It will be an outdoor wedding and I am stuck on colors. My fiance likes royal blue and I am also a fan of blue. We thought about royal blue and silver/white. I'm not sure if these are good colors for a outdoor summer wedding and I have brown hair and light skin. (not sure if that would make a difference) I am also stuck on what kind of flowers would go with these colors. I don't really want roses. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Royal blue tends to be more of a trditional color pick for a fall/winter wedding. The flowers may be more expensive since it's not a typical summer wedding color and florists may think of that. I would suggest maybe going with a light baby blue. This keeps the original blue you wanted but just a couple shades lighter and it will definitely set the mood and tone for a perfect outdoor summer wedding. You can also still keep the silver and white as your secondary colors. It will be gorgeous. Your invitation swill also be alot easier to find in the light blue than in the royal. My wedding is June 23, 2007 and my I chose light pink and brown as my colors. I am basically doing everything in pink and my accent color is brown. I am going for a more modern chic wedding though and that is why I picked these colors. So think about what you want your guests to feel when they see everything. If you want them to think outdoor summer wedding I would definitely go with the light colors. Just remember to try to set the mood. But most importantly it is YOUR wedding and you need to do whatever will make YOU(and your fiance) happy! Good Luck with everything and Best of Luck to the both of you!
