Install Ceiling Fan Light
I'd like to install a simple ceiling fan in place of my light. Is it simple to do? What website can help me?
The only tricky part is that the box that was supporting the light is not a legal one to use to support the fan. You will need to pull out the old box and replace it with the new box (available at Lowe's, Hd, etc) which will be clearly marked "fans support box." Other than that just follow any of the answers that talk about replacing the box or take a look at the box that is in there now and how it is attached and ask any questions on replacement at the store where you buy the new one..
