Can I replace a ceiling fan by myself? or do I need help?
I have several ceiling fans in my home (that came with the home), and it seems the nicer Hunter fans are in the kids rooms and rooms not being used and the cheap "came with the house" fans are in the common areas. Do I need to hire a electrician or handy man to do the switching of fans or is this something I can do by myself?

Certainly "HELP" is always good to have. Does it have to be a $40 per hr. electrician? Hardly.
All you're basically doing is disconnecting wiring/ old fan/ and replacing with new, rewiring it exactly the same. If your wiring happened to be all one color you could TAPE the differences and then proceed. The HELP might best serve you, or anyone, in the weight and balancing.

No offense to anyone, and I may not read answers, but I bet you'll get at least one that says turn off the power; perhaps at the breaker. I'll hope you knew that.
