Any ideas why the ceiling fan light turns on by itself?

I just remodeled a house as a flip. I installed a hunter ceiling fan with a remote control. This is the 5th time I have found the light to be on when I get there in the morning. Today when I arrived I went into the living room to check the thermostat and the light was off. I came back not 5 min later and it was on. I didn’t touch a thing I simply looked at the temperature. I was the only one there. Are remotes susceptible to interference or what? Could a neighbor’s garage door opener be the cause?

Before you ask...

A master electrician installed it

We have had the final electrical inspection and every thing is correct and up to code.

It's not a ghost...the satan worshiping in the house is over for the season.

Just had this problem in our new house...we have a total of 6 remote controlled fans. Two of the units were on the same "code". The builder had the electrician come out and change the code one one of them. As he made the change, another fan turned on. He had to keep trying a new code that wouldn't turn on any other fan in the house. I also checked to make sure the garage door wasn't going up, too.

Yes, I think a neighbor's garage door or even their own fan could be causing your fan to turn on.
