Bathroom lights are quite different to that of ordinary room lights because the lights need to be able to work in the humid atmosphere. Bathroom lights come in a few different options such as bathroom wall lights, recessed downlights, shower lights, and mirror lights. Mirror lights are a great option because not only do mirrors give a sense of space and open up an area but they will mirror the amount of light as well giving ultimate space and light to the bathroom. Bathroom lights are never low hanging, they are always flush to the ceiling or to the wall so non of the space of the bathroom area is taken away.

Lighting the bathroom

The bedroom is used for different types of tasks and so different lighting needs to accommodate these tasks. For example the bedroom is to relax in and feel comfortable whether it's watching a movie, chatting on the phone lying in bed, or having a nap, the lighting used for these tasks are very different to that of getting ready for work, or reading a book, or doing your work. The relaxing lighting needs to be soft and low and so either that of spot lights dimmed or a table lamp. The stronger lighting can be created by full powered spot lights, a pendant light, and wall lights for example. It is a good idea to use an array of lighting options within the bedroom so you can mix and match the light to give different moods.

Home lighting is extremely important when it comes to creating a certain atmosphere. There are hundreds of options of lights to choose from today some of these include ceiling lights, wall lights, bathroom lights, table and floor lamps, kitchen lights, and LED lights. How difficult would it be to split two lights on to separate switches?

In our bathroom right now theres 2 lights, a vanity type light that has two big G type bulbs, Which are great, for bright light in the morning or whatever, but they get really hot if left on. And then theres a ceiling light/ fan/ heater thing. the fan and the heater both have there own switches obviously, but both lights share a switch. How hard would it be to add another switch, so these lights can be worked separately? Both our bathrooms are set up this way,except the other bathroom has more of the big bulbs, and an extra light over the bathtub that we can leave on without the other lights. this annoys the heck out of me because when our nephew stays over we like to leave the bathroom lights on for him. Our old house had one switch for the main light. then 3 switches sideways in one plate for the fan heater light. Would this be hard or expensive to fix?

It is quite easy to do once you run a wire from each fixture to the switches. To run the wire it would probably need to make several holes in the wall and ceiling, then drill holes for the wire and make the connections, then make all of the needed repairs. Your best bet is to call a qualified electrician and a wall repair specialist.
