How much should I charge for rent?
I am the owner of a house in Perth, and I'm looking to rent out my spare rooms to a couple that I know, but I have no idea how much to charge in rent.
For $PRICE, the couple would be getting:
- Own bathroom (including a combined bath/shower)
- Own Toilet
- ADSL2+
- Own double bedroom with ceiling fan and built in wardrobe
- Own single bed with built in wardrobe, to use however they please (office, storage etc)
The kitchen/dining area and living room would be shared, and they'd also have access to an existing office. There's a large LCD tv in the lounge and many electrical appliances in the kitchen.
The property itself is close to the freeway, about 300m from frequently running buses, and about 7 minutes bus/drive to the nearest train station. It's close to two universities, about 15 minutes to the beach, 15 minutes to the city and close to several shopping centres.
Excluding bills, how much should I charge them per week?
look in the newspaper and online to try to find similar properties in your area that are for rent, and base your decision on their rates.
