Ceiling Fan Lights Won’t Work
Ceiling Fan Lights Won't Work

Hampton Bay ceiling fan problem- the light cord is pulled out and won't rescind, so the light won't turn on.
The dangling cord that is supposed to "click" the light on doesn't have any pull in it- it is stationary when I try to pull on it.
My wife was messing with it, saying the light wouldn't turn off when she pulled the cord. I pulled it (not too hard) and the little bit of pull in the cord came out, didn't go back in, and the light went off... but wouldn't turn back on. Now we have no light in our bedroom. This is not an issue with the lightswitch, as the fan still works. Do I have to take this fan apart?
The thing isn't even a year old. Very frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your response.
