no power in the living room?

i have a one bedroom apartment the power has been off for a few months and before the power was off everything worked fine. Now i turn the power on to move some one in and the front porch living room ceiling fan and lights don't work along with the two outlets on that wall. I checked the breaker and nothing happens where do i start ?

You did check the panel to see if any of them tripped at the power box for your apartment. Check all your wall plugs, and reset them. Even take something electrical outside to a plug to see if it works on the outside plug, like a hair dryer, or even an electrical clock. Do you have an outside light, put a bulb in there to see if it works. Check this with all your plugs in the house too. When you check the panel, make sure all of them are in the same position. Even if one is tripped it could have moved just a little and you can't tell. So, look closer at each of them. Turn something on in the house, like is the fridge plugged in, turn on a light switch too. Then go outside by the main meter for the house to see if the dial is moving at all, that will tell you if any electricity is working too. If it is moving that is great. If not you could even turn off the main breaker outside by the utilities, where that round meter is showing you if you have your electricity working. Right there too is your main switch to the house. You could turn off the main power switch to the house and then wait about a minute and turn it back on. If not you may have to call your electronic company. Good luck.
